Currying favour with the locals

Posted in Latest News

The Trust had a fantastic response to its curry night at the award winning Bombay Nite on the 18 September 2017.

The event was a sell out and a very good night was had by all, we raised a total of £700 after all expenses were paid.

Thank you to all that came on the night, those that also bought or donated raffle prizes and to the following for donating gifts:

  • Lloyds Chemist Walton
  • The Sausage Shop
  • Orwell Hotel
  • Williams Butchers, Walton
  • McColls Trimley

The night had some great entertainment, the video below is from a live Facebook broadcast of the hilarious horse racing.

And of course, a huge thank you to Bombay Nite themselves.

Would you like to help make a difference in your local community? If so, have you considered becoming a trustee of The Trimley Station Community Trust?

We are a small local charity whose members are dedicated to rescuing and conserving the historically significant station buildings in Trimley St Mary and bringing them back in to use as a place to be used by the local community as well as rail passengers.

We are governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees who are also Directors of The Trimley Station Community Trust Ltd, a company limited by guarantee.  We are now looking for a trustee who will be able to help steer the organization through its next exciting phase of development and assist with

  • the general management of the Trust
  • fund raising
  • capital project development and funding
  • charity governance
  • outreach work

Trustees meetings are held between four and six times a year and assistance with related ad-hoc issues may be required in between times.  Our website gives more information about our project. Any of the Trustees would be very happy to have an informal chat if you would like to find out more.
